in India the opportunity to write a book was presented at an
incredibly cheap price. I was stirred by a number of reasons...
The
Lord had spoken to me as long ago as 1995 that I
would write books!The hunger for Christian
teaching in Africa and India is particularly great.
The chance to produce something which could be
translated into one of the Indian languages was an
amazing door of opportunity.

Arrows based on books written by the great Chinese
Christian Watchman called Twelve baskets full.
Isolated sermons put together in a volume to bless
the body of Christ.
Living Hope
Arrows has taken that idea and so you have a number
of sermons and studies, which though not linked, we
trust will be a blessing to you. Arrows in a quiver
do not have to be the same as long as they strike
home where directed. So too with this quiverful. May
God take the messages and strike into your hearts
that will bless you and equip you to encourage the
body of Christ.

It is difficult to find quite
the right word to describe the second instalment
of Living HopeArrows.
'Scrapbook,' 'Potpourri,' 'Bran tub,' all come
to mind.
This neat ring bound folder contains the type of
studies that Richard Brunton and his team might
share on a trip. There is a wide variety of
themes and styles here - Biblical background,
sermon outlines, teaching and practical
application. All are marked by a sense of
urgency, a desire to do people good, and the aim
of building up the church.
Not everyone will agree with everything that is
written here, nor will every section be equally
relevant to everyone. The book is designed to
be dipped into as and when a topic covered is of
help to the reader. In some places the eye and
pen of a careful editor would have been useful
in tidying up the text. This being said,
Arrows represents a useful and interesting
snapshot of a few days in the life of Living
Hope Ministries; it provides simple, direct and
practical help for those who need it.
