Report from The Philippines trip - Dave and Claire Richards- September 2009

We have had the tremendous privilege of visiting “General Santos City “ in the Southern Philippines from September 12^th - 21st . We went under the banner of Living Hope Ministries. We received a very warm welcome and excellent hospitality.

Our hosts were Pastors Johnny and Josephine De Vila. Pastor Johnny is a team leader for Mutual Faith Reality TV in the southern Philippines. The network runs 24 hours /Seven days a week and also runs a counseling service.  Pastors Johnny and Josephine run the Life Leadership Institute so as  to equip and train new disciples. church members. They run a church called Word of Life Cornerstone church and have just finished building a Multi purpose building at the back of the church.

Our mission was threefold. To help teach and train the students  and be part of the Graduation service at the end of the week. We established a great rapport with the students and were able to give them prophetic words of encouragement.

It was a very special occasion  to be part of the Graduation service commissioning 16 workers into the harvest field.

During the day we were involved in making television programmes. Both Pastors have their own programmes. This station is broadcast locally and includes the hospital wards.

We were also involved in evangelistic outreaches on four consecutive days into the nearby villages. A number of folk came forward for prayer for salvation and healing. All of our activities were filmed and will appear on Mutual faith Reality television so please pray for ongoing fruit from this witness.
