Report for April’ 08
Nairobi
The Kwangare and Dandora
conferences were well supported and encouraging times were reported.
Both Pastors John and David commented very positively regarding the
teaching and for David, came a real breakthrough with his work. He
further indicated that a L.H.M. Pastors’ fellowship would begin and
a small number would start meeting the first Friday of each month at
9.30am.
Mombassa
George gave a good report of
the time in Mombassa where a new venue was well supported and Chris’
ministry was well received..
Kisumu
Valuable time was spent with
James and some more clarity regarding the Bible school there was
underlined. We trust that electricity will be provided soon. The
evening crusade continues to be fruitful ground and a total of 15
professed Christ as Saviour.
Bisuka
The new church plant at
Bisuka is going very well, planted by Peter & led by Robert.
3 professed salvation and a
very lively meeting took place as the church impacts an area once
dominated by witchcraft.
Kitetikka
A new group of churches used
Kitetikka as their venue and a very useful link was established. It
was so encouraging to see Andrea granted a visa to join mum and dad
to sing in the U.K. at the end of this month.
Mymprewe
This conference was in its
12th year and it was great to minister alongside Graham
Jefferson. 90 + registered and 27 churches were represented.
Day of Refreshing
This was very valuable time
as Fred from Jinja, Barnabas from Matembe, Robert from Bisuka, Mark,
Solomon, Joseph & Jonathan from the Gaza Road Pastors’ Fellowship.
Rose from Kitetikka joined Peter and me for fellowship, teaching and
prayer. The prayer for one another was very special as some of the
pastors had the confidence to share some challenging issues which we
could bring to the Lord.
Tanzania
Although it was quite a
trek, the time with the L.H.M. committee was excellent. The level of
dialogue was very good. Clearly Islamic forces provide a big
challenge and the need to be more formal and systematic with
subjects studied, was confirmed. Serious consideration of widening
the work was reflected on. It was great to visit Stephen’s Bible
School.
We thank God for a real
sense of strategy developing with the work of L.H.M. and came away
with excitement for the future. We are immensely grateful for the
men of stature given to us in Stephen and Peter & for all the people
we work with, whose hard endeavour paved the way for a very
successful time. Paul and Chris contributed brilliantly and the
Duracell bunny, (which I am described as!), continued by God’s grace
to receive the energy for the work. PRAISE THE LORD!
