Elaine, Matthew Jonathan and I have safely returned from
Benidorm where we had a very good time. Thank you for your
prayers for us, especially for Elaine and the boys. The boys
at home were missed but well supported by folks in the local
church and we were very grateful.
We were very grateful for safe flights and many other
evidences of God’s provision. All the meetings went well and
Sundays especially were well attended. People are relaxed
and open to talking. It was a particular joy when a man who
had come on our first Sunday, then for Saturday’s open door
time, then to our last meeting on Sunday afternoon, gave his
life to the Lord. There were other useful contacts including
Alan, who had been part of Screaming Lord Sutch’s band. He
was converted through Ray Whittle’s ministry just before we
came. He was full of new life in Christ, has quite a story
to tell and also an interest in Africa. Although most people
coming through the church were visitors there are some
residents who have made the church their home. They were
very kind to us and also appreciated fellowship with us. It
was good to serve the Lord as a family but also enjoy
somewhat warmer climes and relax at this time of year.
I felt the Lord spoke afresh to me about the need for prayer
and intercession. This means prayer for Living Hope but also
that the ministry very positively encourages prayer for the
nations. I will be sharing more about raising up
intercessors in due time. The Living Hope Evening on our
return was also encouraging. We made two programmes and
prayed for those coming on the trip in March/April. We were
also informed about a project, which could gather thousands
for prayer and evangelism next year. So to the gift day. Feb
28th. Thank you so much for you who give regularly and thank
you for those who have supported the Gift Day in the past.
Please pray and then respond to the Lord. There are many
very worthy causes and we know you cannot support
everything. Please also remember the value of Gift Aid even
for a one off gift. If the lord leads you to give you can
send it at any time this month.
We trust to support a hospital in a famine stricken area and
initiate other projects which once started, become
self-supporting. The opportunity to train more pastors than
ever and to preach the gospel on a bigger scale is very
exciting. More opportunities with radio and television are
there as well as the door to Eastern Europe. The prospect of
a crusade of a thousand people in Kisumu arranged as a
Living Hope Crusade is another challenge! God willing the
next trip will see conferences in Entebbe,Gilgali, Nairobi,
Kisumu and Arusha. So please pray.
