Poland trip
report 06
After a good journey and
very good fellowship with Andrzej and Yola we were
driven to Sochaczew. The church in this area is made of
some precious people who have tasted very hard times in
life. Several youngsters were also in attendance. They
seemed to appreciate the teaching and it was good to
pray for each one who had gathered. The pastor Swavec
has become a good friend and he is a brave pioneer.
Warsaw.
It was great to discover
Jelco and Leila had arrived from Bosnia and Wednesday
was a quiet day seeing a bit of Warsaw and enjoying a
very good lunch with Andrzej, Yola, Leila and Jelco.
The evening we visited
Andrzej Bralewski and his church in Warsaw. It was great
to see how this church had grown and their welcome was
very warm.
Thursday
In Warsaw was very
exciting as the UK group all arrived then the Romanians
and by the evening time the Bulgarians also. We began to
pray for one another and although many different
languages were spoken the language of prayer superseded
them all.
The day ended with a BBQ,
which was very useful as it all helped knit together the
people of God.
Friday
We
continued in prayer then travelled by train to Kolo.
Julian was there to meet us and we went to his church
and met three precious Moldavian brothers Uree, Slavic
and John. We prayed for them then went to a restaurant
for a meal together.
The sense of oneness was
extraordinary. The Bulgarian could not speak English or
Polish but could speak Romanian. The group catered for
all with Russian also being spoken.
A meeting followed a
session on 2 Timothy 4 with members of Julian’s church.
Again it was great to see how the ministry has grown.
Extensive times of prayer for people was possible as we
sought to draw near to God.
Saturday
Pastors from 8 churches
gathered on a day when 7 nations were represented.
Teaching on the Fatherhood of God was well received
interspersed with times of prayer for each of the
nations represented. Again having a good sized team
meant that all who needed prayer for a breakthrough in
understanding the fatherhood of God was possible
Sunday
Ministry took place by all team members in different
churches and all the reports were encouraging. The sense
of freedom for all was great and rising faith for a real
breakthrough for the body of Christ in Poland is
evident.
For Elaine and I it was
great to be together in ministry abroad and it was good
to see wives from the different countries relating so
well with Elaine.
We had a salutary visit to Chelmno an
extermination camp near Kolo. The Germans had destroyed a
great deal but not all and the image of Poland being
Hitler’s graveyard took on a fresh meaning. I long to
hear of revival in Poland so many have perished how good
it will be to hear of many being saved through trusting
in the precious blood of Jesus.
God willing we are
beginning to look at a conference next year in June.
