Sio jambo kushangaza kwamba Matayo anarekoti kutembelewa kwa mtoto Yesu kule Bethelehemu na Mamajusi.Huenda Mamajusi walikuwa wafalme na ishara ya nyota ni ya muhimu sana kwao.Tamaa yao ya kuabudu na tamaa ya Herodi ya kuangamiza ni tofauti kubwa.Yesu ni mfalme wafalme na Mathayo anachukua kila nafasi kuelezea hiyo na kunena juu ya Yesu kuwa analeta Ufalme wa Mungu na kuajilia Ufalme wa mbiguni duniani.Kuna sehemu tatu kuu zinazoelezewa katika huu mlango,Bethelehemu,mahali pa kuzaliwa,Misri,mahali pa maficho na Nazarethi,mahali pa maandalizi.

Kwa mafunzo yetu ya mwezi ,tutakuwa tunaangalia kitabu cha Injili cha Matayo.Matayo alikuwa mtoza ushuru aliyempata Masiya wake ndani ya Bwana Yesu.Masiya inamaanisha Mfalme na Matayo anaelezea madhumunihaya mara nyingi katika Injili yake.Pia anapenda kuonyesha vile Yesu anavyotimiza unabii wa agano la kale na ara kwa mara huitangaza anavyolinganisha tukio kuu katika maandishi yake.

It has been said that if you always aim low, succeeding in tasks you know you can achieve you will probably grow very little in your walk with God. But to achieve success in a task you know is beyond your current experience, outside of your ‘comfort zone’ is the place of real challenge and growth. The Africa trip with Living Hope Ministries this early spring was such a time for me.
